“Comrade Prince” D.S. Mirsky is one of the most important figures in the literary and academic milieu of Europe and the Soviet Union during the 1920 and 1930s.  His extraordinary life and the vigor of his writing allow us to regard him as an intellectual legend of his time and as a symbol of the fate of an entire generation of the Russian intelligentsia.  Mirsky’s History of Russian Literature, which Vladimir Nabokov called “the best history of Russian literature in any language including Russian”, distinguished itself by its “eclectic” view of literary history, its effective blending of objective and subjective modes of criticism and its highly individual expression.  Mirsky’s History laid the foundation for Russian literary scholarship in the West and proved so influential that it remains the standard introduction to the subject up to the present day. 【Аннотация】 «Товарищ князь» Д. Его История русской литературы, которую В. Набоков считал «лучшей историей русской литературы на любом языке, включая русский», отличаетя своим «эклектическим» подходом к истории литературы, синтезом объективной и субъективной критики и индивидуальным образом выражения. История Мирского положила основание изучению русской литературы на Западе и до сегдняшего дня непрерывно оказывает свое сильное влияние на современных руссистов всего мира.
