Abstract
The author proposes there exists a phenomenon of multiple triangular relations in Central Asia from the perspective of a summary and analysis category for the reality. First, the trilateral relations as core part of Central Asian region: relations among Central Asian countries, Russia and China, such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Secondly, the triangular relations across Europe and Asia, including those among Russia, Europe and Central Asia, those among Russia, China and India and etc. Thirdly, trilateral relations at a global scope, for example, relations among Russia, the United States and China, relations among Russia, Europe and the United States. In the long term, the development in pluralism within Central Asian region and the diversified external environment will together affect this region’s development profoundly. As a fundamental form of Central Asia’s external environment, the trilateral relations should be based on respecting target countries' basic security interests and taking common humanity values as external behavior standards during the inevitable cooperation and competition course.
