Abstract

In recent years, Russia mainly transports crude oil to East Asian countries through four channels. The final transaction prices are not the same as a result of oil source regions and transportation means by these four different channels. Thus the author selects two ways---the trade price of transporting oil to China by railway through Manchuria and transporting oil to Japan and South Korea by oil ship from the Sakhalin Island – Russia’s FOB for Europe and CIF of Middle East’s crude oil for East Asian countries and makes comparative analysis between these two ways, revealing the current price situation of Russian crude oil in the East Asia oil market. This article also predicts the prices of export crude oil through Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean pipeline and points out that its prices will exceed current Sino-Russian railway crude oil trade prices and those of the same quality in the Middle East.
